Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What services do you provide?

We offer comprehensive services in architecture, interior design, historic tax credit consulting, and feasibility studies.

Architecture

We offer the full suite of architectural services as outlined by the American Institute of Architects, from schematic design through construction contract administration. Our holistic approach keeps the design vision in our sites through execution of the construction contract, and we leverage digital modeling technology to ensure all stakeholders have a clear picture of the envisioned product.

Interior Design

With interior design services, we select finishes and fixtures, and integrate those elements within the construction documents, detailing specifically to the selected products to create a cohesive and complete interior environment. Additionally, we provide furniture selection and procurement for commercial projects.

Historic Tax Credit Consulting

We can assist with Historic Tax Credits from inception to execution, including research, digital documentation of your historic building, and developing a project that follows the National Park Service and State Historic Preservation Office approval processes.

Feasibility Studies

Our space-planning services help you understand the pros, cons and issues of a building, enabling you to make informed decisions about your financial investment.

Q: What types of projects do you work on most?

We can handle any type of residential or commercial project, though we particularly enjoy working in the following sectors: custom residential, commercial mixed-use, hospitality, adaptive reuse, multifamily, and third-place/coworking facilities.

Q: What is your preferred style of architecture?

Rather than adherence to any particular style, we maintain a consistent approach across all of our projects. We analyze the project goals and draw inspiration from its surroundings to create a strategy unique to each project. Our aim is to ensure each project serves its occupants, contributes positively to its surroundings, and is built to be adapted again some day in the future.

Q: How long is the design process?

Our design process is customized to your project goals and personal needs, so there's no one-size-fits-all approach. Smaller projects will have shorter timelines. We work efficiently with the latest technology and consistently meet project deadlines within our control.

However, other factors can influence the timeline. Complex projects involving multiple consultants may take longer due to the time required for coordination and documentation. Historic projects may also extend timelines due to factors such as obtaining historic district approvals and securing tax credit approvals from state and federal entities.

Q: Who is your ideal client?

We find we get the best results with clients who value design and contribute to the process.
