Nestled in the heart of Uptown New Orleans, our recent project involved a delightful restoration and enhancement of a historic home, blending classic charm with modern functionality. This renovation focused on exterior and site improvements that truly transformed the property.

The project consisted of three exterior elements: front porch, back porch and enclosed carport.

Preserving History with a Front Porch

One of the standout features of our renovation was the addition of a front porch to the home. Porches are iconic in New Orleans architecture, fostering a sense of community and providing a welcoming outdoor space. Our goal was to respect the historic character of the house while enhancing its curb appeal. The new porch not only complements the existing design but also invites residents and guests to enjoy the neighborhood ambiance.

Expanding Outdoor Living: Rear Porch and Garage Structure

In addition to the front porch, we extended the living space outdoors by adding a rear porch. This new area serves as an inviting retreat, perfect for relaxing or entertaining. It seamlessly connects the indoor and outdoor spaces, offering a versatile area for enjoying the beautiful New Orleans weather.

Alongside the rear porch, we designed a garage structure that harmonizes with the architectural style of the home. This addition not only provides convenient parking but also contributes to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the property.

Landscape Architect Collaboration

To complement our exterior enhancements, we collaborated with a talented landscape architect to revitalize the surrounding grounds. The landscaping design was tailored to enhance the home's appearance while maintaining a cohesive look with the neighborhood. Thoughtfully selected plants, trees, and pathways now adorn the property, adding to its allure and creating a harmonious outdoor environment.
