Alabama Marble

Alabama Marble quarry is set on the white marble belt on the southwestern edge of the Appalachian Mountains in Sylacauga, Alabama. The Stone Gallery sources slabs, tile and cut to size marble from the Alabama quarry for the gulf coast region.

Alabama Marble is quarried and processed in Alabama. Since the entirety of production takes place within a 50 mile radius, all environmental and consumer costs associated with shipping are drastically reduced.

An added green benefit of domestic production is the stringent environmental standards of the US. Regulation of pollution and run off, and higher safety standards for workers means that domestically quarried and fabricated stones are by far greener and healthier than those produced in unregulated markets.
